Doc

Baby had a doctor appointment this morning and we are very happy to say that he is doing just fine, and growing at the speed of light. The ultrasound we had on the 13th is "normal" so the doctor didnt have any concerns to talk to us about. Next appointment will be in four weeks, and at that time Mommy will have to drink some nasty potion, so that they can do blood work to see if her sweet tooth is getting her into any trouble. According to What to expect. com, baby's going to be doubling in size in the next few weeks, Mommy's just worried that she seems to be doubling in size too =( But she cant help it...she get's SO hungry and if baby's not fed he gets mad and makes Mommy feel sick, so Mommy has no choice but to eat, and eat...and eat.
Mommy proposes that she try to eat healthier, AND really pick up the pace on walking, and hopefully (weather permitting) SWIMMING in our new pool =)
Baby got a new outfit this week, from his number one fan...(besides Mommy)...Poppa! Poppa went out shopping while Mommy and baby where having a "girls" day, watching Confessions of a Shopaholic, and he bought baby his first Nike shoes! Well they're little booties, and a little cap, and a little onsie...he's gonna be an athlete with those long legs of his, just like Poppa =) Speaking of those long legs, Poppa felt baby kick for the first time last night! Yup baby's been kicking for a while now, but those little kicks hadnt been powerful enough to be felt by the outside world until now, and Poppa was the first to feel it. I think baby was just showing off for him.
So coming up this week we hope to go to Target, our fav., and next Tuesday is our first Parenting class, so we can learn how to take care of baby when he arrives.

BabyMania!!!

Whoa we had a lot of baby stuff going on this long weekend. First of all we went to our long awaited ultrasound on Friday and it went great =) Except the part where I had to drink a ton of water and couldnt go pee for an hour before the ultrasound, that was SO not fun, but I managed. Baby took great pictures at his ultrasound, and showed us his pee pee again =) So we have triple confirmation it's a boy! Mommy, Daddy, and both Gramy Paty and Gramy Crabby will have their very own copy of baby's first picture to put up for everyone to see.
Yesterday mommy and poppa had oodles of fun going to Baby's R'Us to see baby stuff. At first we said we would just look to get ideas, but yeah right once we got started we really got into it. We started our registry. Poppa was zappin away at everything we liked. It was fun, but kind of confusing, and kinda scary to think that when we put those things to use it will be when baby's HERE!!! And when we were there I wish I had a manual to show us what to register for, I mean they gave us a checklist but still there are so many brands, and it was just kind of confusing. But overall it was super fun, because we found a beautiful theme we'll probably go with which is the little bear all stars...SO cute! We saw super cute outfits, and it was just really really fun and exciting. Next stop...Target! We LOVE Target! =)

Baby Boy...

Just wanted to update everyone, that this little boy is kicking up a storm! Everytime Im just sitting or watching TV and I let out a little laugh it's because baby kicks me in the gut =) I love that feeling. It really does validate that there's a little being inside me and reminds me that anything I do, or consume doesnt only affect me but also my little one.
Another update is that Mommy and Daddy went to Northridge hospital last night for their Maternity Tour, and boy was that interesting. It's a regular hospital like any other, I mean I've been to the hospital when my friend's had their baby's so I've seen the maternity ward, but looking at this hospital this time had a totally different meaning. All I could think of is that the next time that Poppa and Mommy are there will be the "big" one...it'll mean that mommy's water broke and baby's en route to this world....Gosh just thinking about it makes me teary eyed. It did scare me though looking at the different rooms, especially the surgical room, in case something goes wrong and mommy needs to be cut open, it's ok, as long as baby's born safe and sound, it doesnt matter how he gets out right? Hopefully, God willing he'll come out the natural way =) (Ouch =(...) So now that we know what hospital we're going to have baby at, we just gotta sign up for their childbirth classes, and parenting classes so we know how to work that baby when we get him home =) That'll be fun =) Stay tuned for that....A lot of exciting stuff coming up...tomorrow we have our ultrasound at the doctor's. And this weekend Poppa and I will be going to check out stuff at Baby's R' Us. Oooo exciting, we havent been looking for Boy's stuff yet....we might even start a registry ; )

It's a BOY!!!

Well hubby and I got hooked up to go to a 3D ultrasound by our friend Faby. Our friend Daisy accompanied us to be a witness of this precious event. As good ol' Jackie the x-ray tech student put the cold gel on me I was nervous as can be because in a few seconds I would find out our fate. And we were so excited because what once was a little pea was not a fully formed little baby in Mommy's belly. He had two little arms, and two "long" legs according to Jackie =) He got it from his Momma =) well I dont know who he got it from but...nonetheless, yup in between those long legs was a BOY peepee!!! Yay!!!! =) So that's that, on your marks get set shop!!! Shop for clothes, furniture, and everything else this beautiful little Alonsito will need =) Thank you all for being so happy and excited with us as this story unravels. =)
